Adding an Idea to an Existing Filing

To add an idea to an existing filing, go open the filing in the ‘Patent Drafting’ stage. Scroll down to the portion of ‘Underlying Ideas’. There is an ‘Add Idea’ button next to it.

When you click on ‘Add Idea’, a pop up opens, where you can add the idea number you want to add. Alternatively you can select the existing ideas from the dropdown selection. The drop down provides you the list of active as well as archived ideas.

Select the idea to be added. Also define the scope of the idea within the filing. Check the box based on whether you want to archive or unarchive the newly added idea.

Once you click on ‘Add to Filing’, the idea gets added to the Filing and would start reflecting.
