Abstract:
An image decoding apparatus obtain pieces of coded data that is included in a bitstream and generated by coding tiles. Tile boundary independence information is further obtained from the bitstream, with the tile boundary independence information indicating whether each of boundaries between the tiles is one of a first boundary or a second boundary. The pieces of coded data are decoded to generate image data of the tiles. Image data of a first tile is generated by decoding a first code string included in first coded data with reference to decoding information of a decoded tile when the tile boundary independence information indicates the first boundary, and by decoding the first code string without referring to the decoding information of the decoded tile when the tile boundary independence information indicates the second boundary.

Abstract:
A picture coding method includes: performing a first derivation process for deriving a first merging candidate which includes a candidate set of a prediction direction, a motion vector, and a reference picture index for use in coding of a current block; performing a second derivation process for deriving a second merging candidate; selecting a merging candidate to be used in the coding of the current block from among the first and second merging candidates; and attaching an index for identifying the selected merging candidate to the bitstream; wherein the first derivation process is performed so that a total number of the first merging candidates does not exceed a predetermined number, and the second derivation process is performed when the total number of the first merging candidates is less than a predetermined maximum number of merging candidates.

Abstract:
Disclosed are a wireless base station, wireless terminal, and channel signal formation method that can prevent the quality of downstream assignment control data from degrading, while preventing the number of blind determinations from increasing on the wireless terminal on the receiving side of the downstream control channel signal. In a base station (100), a control unit (101) and a data size regulation unit (103) control the data size of downstream assignment control data and upstream assignment control data contained in the PDCCH signal based on the communication format used between the base station (100) and a terminal (200), the number of antennas (M) (nonnegative number) on the base station (100), the number of antennas (N) (nonnegative number) on the terminal (200), the bandwidth of the downstream band, and the bandwidth of the upstream band. Specifically, the control unit (101) determines it is unnecessary to adjust the aforementioned data size when the selected communication format is first established between multiple antennas and when where there are multiple for one of M and N and only one for the other.
